getting involved

The best way to find out about opportunities to be involved in research in this lab is to visit Professor Patalano during her office hours. Opportunities to participate take many forms including serving as a research assistant, participating in the lab's research course (PSYC 382), or conducting an honors thesis through the lab. The lab seeks highly motivated students who are either early in their academic career or have a demonstrated interest in this research area. Coursework in cognitive psychology, decision making, quantitative research methods and statistics all increase the extent to which one can participate fully. The lab also has many interdisciplinary connections, most notably with economics, computer science, philosophy, neuroscience, and East Asian studies, and welcomes students with diverse routes to their interests in reasoning and decision making.
